Pedestrian, motorcyclist injured in midtown collision

A man and a woman are in hospital with critical injuries after a collision involving a motorcycle, a car and a pedestrian.
Emergency crews were called to the scene near Yonge Street and Pleasant Boulevard, just south of St. Clair Avenue, around 6 p.m. Sunday.
Toronto police say the driver of the motorcycle, a 29-year-old man, was heading north on Yonge. Meanwhile, a 75-year-old man was driving south on Yonge, about to turn left onto Pleasant.
The car struck the motorcycle and the motorcycle hit a woman who was walking on the east side of walk.
Police say the motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and then the unmanned bike struck the 67-year-old pedestrian.
“The motorcyclist and the pedestrian have been transported to Sunnybrook hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries,” Sgt. Paul Strangeways said Sunday.
As of Monday, the condition of the motorcyclist had improved and his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Yonge was closed southbound between St. Clair and Rosehill Avenue for the investigation.
