One dead after Georgetown house fire

One person has died after a house fire in Georgetown.
Emergency services were called to a semi-detached house on Raylawn Crescent, near Guleph Street and Mountainview Road, around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Halton police said neighbours reported smoke leaking from the home.
After crews extinguished the fire, they found the body of a man in the basement.
There’s no word on the identity of the victim at this time.
The Ontario Fire Marshall has been notified.
