Police Looking For Florida Man After Attempted Abduction

Police are looking for a Florida man after an 11-year-old girl was nearly abducted and sexually assaulted in Fort Erie, Ont.
Niagara Regional officers contend the incident occurred Thursday as the child waited for her school bus. A man called her over to his car, and apparently promised to take her to school.
Once she was inside the vehicle, the man began to sexually assault her. She managed to jump out of the car, which was moving at the time, suffering minor injuries in the fall.
Authorities are on the lookout for Steven Batchelder of Hollywood, Florida. The 23-year-old reportedly has a summer home in Fort Erie.
He’s wanted on a range of charges, including forcible confinement.
