Farm Tragedy
An awful livestock tragedy struck in southwestern Ontario Sunday morning, when a barn fire killed more than 6,000 pigs. The farm, owned by the 3M company is about 20 kilometres north of London.
Damage is said to be in the millions of dollars but officials say the fire isn’t suspicious in nature.
Deadly Crash
A man and two women in their 20s died Sunday afternoon in a horrific four-vehicle crash on Highway 69 near Parry Sound.
One of the cars crossed the centre line into the path of oncoming traffic. O.P.P. officials say alcohol and speeding may have played a role in the fatal collision, but no further details have been released.
School Fire
Vaughan Willard Public School in Pickering will be closed for Monday at the very least, following a Sunday fire. The blaze destroyed a portable and left extensive smoke and water damage to the back of the school.
Thankfully, no one was hurt, but there’s no word yet on the cause or damage total.
