The big play of the came can in the eighth inning where Matt Stairs continued his torrid stretch with a two-run blast that broke a 5-5 tie. Jeremy Accardo closed things out and Vernon Wells continued his slow awakening with his ninth home run. Alex Rios added his team-leading 17th blast.
