Sox Rock Jays, Halladay Has Poor Outing

The Boston Red Sox manhandled Roy Halladay on Thursday night en route to a 7-4 win over the rival Toronto Blue Jays.

Halladay allowed the first four Sox batters to reach base and score, putting the Jays behind early.  In the end the 2003 Cy Young Award winner gave up five runs on eight hits before hitting the showers.

David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez both had strong outings.  Ortiz went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and Ramirez had three RBIs to help the Sox snap a three-game losing skid.

Tim Wakefield got the win for the Bo-Sox after giving up four runs in six innings.

Alex Rios, fresh off his all-star performance, went 3-for-4 with a single, double and homer, and Vernon Wells and Aaron Hill had two hits apiece for the Jays.
