Foxy Brown Accused Of Lying To Cops
Rapper Foxy Brown is having more legal problems, the latest stemming from a police traffic stop.
Authorities pulled over Brown, whose given name is Inga Marchand, after she allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign while driving her SUV Wednesday. According to police she was talking on a cell phone at the time. A check on the vehicle’s registration found that it had been suspended.
Brown was accused of lying to police after she allegedly gave them a variation on her real name and a wrong date of birth. Officers challenged her on the information after it turned up no records and at that point she apparently gave her correct name and birth date. At that point the police found that Brown’s license had been suspended – she was subsequently handed seven traffic tickets and ordered to appear in municipal court in Mahwah, New Jersey next month.

The latest incident involving the rapper happened a day after she was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a neighbour in Brooklyn. Investigators allege Brown threw her BlackBerry at the woman, cutting her lip and loosening a tooth. The dispute was reportedly over Brown’s blasting her car stereo.
Brown is currently on probation after pleading guilty to assault in 2004 over an unpaid manicure.
