Pedestrian Killed In Overnight Crash

A Saturday night ended in tragedy for a young man in downtown Toronto.
The 23-year-old is dead after being hit by a taxi.
The crash occurred just after 2:45am on Ossington near College. Staff Sgt. Bob Skinner said the victim had just stepped off the curb when he was struck by the southbound cab.
He was taken to hospital and later died. His name has not been released.
There’s no word on the cause or possible charges, as police are still investigating the city’s 14 traffic fatality this year.
