A sundown shooting sent three men to hospital in the Jane and Wilson area Thursday.
Toronto’s latest instance of gun violence happened just after 6pm, when bullets reportedly flew in a ravine between North York Sheridan Mall and some apartment buildings.
All of the victims are believed to be male and in their 20s. One was allegedly hit in the neck and required extensive surgery. The two others sustained wounds to the legs. One of those victims is said to be in serious condition, but is expected to pull through.
Police fled to the area and scoured the scene near Chalkfarm Drive in the minutes that followed, and there were reports that at least two suspects were seen fleeing after the shots rang out.
It’s still not clear what precipitated the violent exchange.
