Man Sentenced To Four Years In Jail For Selling Non-Existent Leaf Tickets

They’re the hottest ticket in town, but a former Georgetown man has been found guilty of leaving several people out in the cold, after selling a slew of Toronto Maple Leafs tickets that he never actually had access to.
Peter Mavroudis, 50, of Vancouver, pleaded guilty Tuesday to three counts of fraud over $5000, and was sentenced to four years in jail, after he duped several individuals and companies in York Region and Toronto in 2007.
He was arrested by Vancouver police on December 7, 2008, while working as a salesman at a car dealership.
Mavroudis operated a company called Prime Ticket Connection in Whitby, through which he collected $370,000 selling Leaf tickets that were never delivered.
