A pedestrian was struck and killed around 8 p.m. Saturday night in Pickering.
The incident happened at Kingston and Denmar Roads. A beige Ford Explorer, being driven by a 30-year old woman was headed eastbound on Kingston Road when it hit a man trying to cross the road.
The male victim is described as:
- white
- 55-65 years old
- 5’7
- 150 lbs
- grey/reddish balding hair and beard
- brown eyes
Police are attempting to identify this man and are asking anyone with information to call Detective Constable Brett Rayne of the Traffic Services Branch at 905-579-1520 ext. 5256 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Child Luring Arrest
While investigating a missing teen, Halton Police have arrested a Milton man for luring her over the internet.
While the victim, 15 is now back home, police have charged Brian Saliba, 38 with:
- Abduction
- Luring
- Sexual assault (six counts)
- Sexual interference (six counts)
- Invitation to sexual touching (six counts)
Saliba will be appearing in a Milton court March 22 for a bail hearing.
Parking Officer Attacked
A Toronto parking officer was treated in hospital Sunday after being attacked while ticketing cars in the Danforth area.
Police say the driver of one of the cars that was being ticketed drove over to the officer and attacked him, punching him in the face.
Bystanders helped the officer, but the perpetrator managed to get away.
Teen Stabbing
A 13-year old boy has been rushed to The Hospital For Sick Children after being stabbed by another teen Sunday evening.
At this point details are scarce, but reports are the stabbing took place at a hockey rink in south Etobicoke, and the boy was stabbed by a 14-year old friend, possibly with a pocket knife.
There’s no word on a motive.
