Another Lotto Max Jackpot Unclaimed

Countless would-be millionaires across Canada are disappointed Saturday, as the whopping $95 million Lotto Max prize once again went unclaimed.

This marks the third week in a row the jackpot went without a winner. But not everyone was empty handed. 30 $1 million Maxmillion prizes were won, 16 of them in Ontario.

Sales for Friday’s draw increased nearly 40 per cent nationwide. They’re sure to jump again next week, with the OLG announcing another $50 million dollar jackpot for next Friday’s draw, with an additional $55 in Maxmillion prizes.

The odds of winning the $50-million jackpot are estimated at 1 in 28 million; however, the odds are slightly better for the 45 Maxmillion prizes at 1 in 623,000.

In February, two people, one in Quebec and one in B.C. split a $50 million dollar Lotto Max jackpot. In November, Marie Fontaine of Pine Falls, Manitoba claimed the full $50 million draw.
