Two American scientists say that it is not Monday getting people down, but Thursday.
In a study called “Pulse of the Nation: U.S. mood throughout the day, as inferred from Twitter” scientists from Harvard University and Northeastern University analyzed more than 3-hundred million Twitter posts and found people are at their angriest on Thursdays.
The scientists based their findings on a thee year study of key words found in tweets.
They believe the surly mood on Thursday may be caused by weekly frustration that begins to build on Monday.
By Friday, however, the study shows the mood changes toward the positive and people are happiest Sunday morning.
