Rob Ford accepts endorsement from pastor against same-sex marriage

TORONTO, Ont. – Members of Toronto’s gay community are up in arms after mayoralty candidate Rob Ford accepted the endorsement of a fundamentalist Christian pastor known for opposing and speaking out against same-sex marriage.
The Globe and Mail reported both Ford and pastor Wendell Brereton – who is running for council in Ward 6 – agreed on many issues during a recent news conference.
Later, Ford admitted he supports traditional marriage, but added that he is not concerned with what people do in their private lives.
