Man In Serious Condition After Being Struck By Lightning

A man is listed in serious condition in hospital after he was struck by lightning in the east end Sunday.
The man, said to be in his 20s, was playing football with some friends behind Blantyre Public school, near Victoria Park and Kingston Road, when he was hit.
CPR was performed at the scene and the man was then rushed to hospital.
Lighting is also being blamed for a house fire on Lloydtown Aurora Road, just east of Highway 400, Sunday night.
No one was home when the flames erupted around 9pm. There’s still no word yet on a damage estimate, but authorities say the home isn’t a total loss.
