Suspect Identified In TTC Driver Assault

Toronto police are searching for a suspect after a TTC bus driver was stabbed in the Brimley and Steeles area Friday evening.
The violence broke out just after 7:30pm after a passenger tried to use an old transfer to board the bus.
When the driver refused, the suspect allegedly started to argue and pulled a large knife out of his backpack.
The driver suffered two stab wounds, one to his hand and another to his right thigh.
He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He is expected to recover.
Police have released a suspect description. The person they are looking for is described as:
- Male
- Asian
- 5’6”
- 30-40 years old
- Clean shaven
- Having short black hair
He was last seen wearing a blue sweater with white lettering on the front, and was carrying a black backpack.
