Body Found In Apartment Fire

Crews battling a fire in Uxbridge made a grisly discovery over the weekend.
A woman’s body was pulled from the apartment after the flames were extinguished. The victim, who has not been identified, is 51 years old.
Emergency crews were called to Enzo Crescent around 12:45am on September 18.
Other residents had tried to save her, but the smoke was too thick. Even responding officers were forced by the heavy smoke and extreme heat.
The Uxbridge Fire Department arrived quickly and extinguished the fire. It was then that crews found the body.
The Fire Marshall’s office is investigating. However, police do not believe her death is suspicious.
