At least one gunshot was fired inside Central Technical School at 725 Bathurst on Thursday.
Police have confirmed they recovered a single shell casing inside a stairwell. Investigators questioned several people throughout the day and took two people into custody. Officers from 14 Division arrested a third male several hours later
It’s not clear if the people in custody are students at the school.
Central Tech was in lockdown for more than three hours, as ETF agents combed hallways and classrooms. No injuries have been reported. The weapon has not been recovered.
“Everything is under control,” said Const. Tony Vella after officers finished their search.
“For parents, rest assured that everyone is safe. But if you see any suspicious activity, call police. No one has been hurt. That’s the main thing here.”
More than 2,000 students are enrolled at Central Tech.
“Our kids have been fantastic,” said principal Sheryl Freeman.
“This is not a comment on my student body. They are terrific.”
