GPS could have negative effect on brain function, study suggests

Are you a GPS zombie?

Researchers at McGill University warn our reliance on global positioning systems instead of maps could affect how well our brains function as people age.

Researchers said people who don’t use GPS systems use parts of the brain linked to memory and navigation, and do better on tests involving going through a maze.

They warn that relying on a GPS system may lead to atrophy of the part of the brain linked to Alzheimer.
