Environment Canada has issued two special weather statements for Ontario as wildly different conditions are on their way for the province.
Those living in the southwestern region will see rain for the next few days, while those in the north will see ice pellets and wet snow.
From Windsor to Ottawa to Algonquin Park, the average rainfall is expected to be between 15 and 30 millimetres, with 40 to 50 millimetres touching down near the Quebec border. That same region will also see temperatures roughly five degrees higher than average.
As for snow, from the Manitoba border to North Bay, more than 10 centimetres of the white stuff will hit the ground. It’s a little different for Atikokan to Geraldton, where ice pellets and wet snow are expected land.
Thunder Bay and the north shore of Lake Superior will see some wet snow changing to rain and eventually a change back to snow on Tuesday.
