Hundreds of family, friends, colleagues and even strangers gathered together Saturday afternoon at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church to memorialize legendary newsman Mark Dailey.
Mark’s sister Colleen Smith spoke lovingly of their childhood. Fellow Citytv anchor Gord Martineau reminisced about their 31 years working together. Toronto police chief Bill Blair recounted Mark’s special relationship with the boys in blue. And the Honourable David C. Onley, Ontario’s Lieutenant governor spoke about Mark’s incredible character and impact on those around him.
It was a fitting send-off for a consummate professional and true gentleman.
