SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Mark Wilson has won the frost-delayed Phoenix Open, beating Jason Dufner on the second hole of a playoff.

Wilson made a nine-foot birdie putt Monday for his second victory in three starts this year.

He was two strokes ahead when play resumed Monday. He closed with a 2-under 69 to match Dufner at 18 under. Dufner had birdies on No. 16 and No. 17 for a 66.

Wilson made a short par putt on the 18th hole to extend the playoff after Dufner tapped in for par.

Wilson opened the season with a victory in the Sony Open in a 36-hole Sunday finish.

Delays for frost and frozen turf over the first four days forced the Monday finish.
