An accident forced authorities to shut down the intersection of Dufferin and Dundas for several hours Monday.
A tractor-trailer hauling a crane hit a utility pole around 7am, bringing down wires and forcing police to divert traffic in the area. The crane on the flatbed was headed toward the construction site at Toronto Police 14 Division.
Streetcars and buses were forced to divert during the morning rush.
The intersection reopened to traffic just before 1pm.
