It’s the day the winter-weary have long been waiting for.
Monday marks the first full day of spring and the vernal season has gotten off to a soggy start.
The wet weather should clear out by the afternoon and the forecast high of 10 degrees Celsius will be the warmest of the week.
Flurries are expected to start Wednesday morning and won’t clear out until Thursday.

The rest of the week will be sunny, but cool. The weekend temperatures will be below normal at a high of 1C Saturday and 2C Sunday — the normal temperature for this time of year is 6C.
Earlier this month Environment Canada declared the groundhogs were wrong this year in their prediction of an early spring. The agency said spring this year would be reluctant to arrive and colder than normal.
