Man allegedly uses machete in Burlington ‘Cash Store’ robbery

Halton Regional Police are investigating after a man allegedly used a machete during a robbery in Burlington.

Officers allege he used the weapon to threaten an employee of “The Cash Store” at 3350 Fairview St. around 6 p.m. on Monday. The employee handed over the money, and the man allegedly fled on foot.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described as:

  • white
  • early to mid twenties in age
  • 5’5”
  • slim build
  • shaved head or very short black hair
  • scruffy chin-strap type beard
  • He wore a black baseball cap, black-zippered hoodie sweater, black skater shorts (knee length with cargo pockets), black skater shoes and black sunglasses.
