Just four years after capturing the crown of America’s Got Talent, ventriloquist Terry Fator is now performing sold-out shows in Las Vegas.
“I thought my shot was over,” Fator told Breakfast Television on Thursday.
“I thought I would hit it big in my 20s, but then I got to my 20s, and then my 30s, and here it was my 40s…I thought there was no chance a 40-year-old ventriloquist was ever going to make it.”
To his great surprise, Fator won the title in 2007 and parlayed the win on the reality TV show into a five-year, $100 million US Las Vegas contract.
Watch Fator – and puppet Vicki the Cougar – in action in the video.
