TORONTO – Sterling Hall school is the first in the world to raise $1-million for the Terry Fox Foundation.
Sterling Hall is located on Dufferin, south of Yorkdale Road, and is home to 300 male students, from kindergarten to grade 8.
500 parents, students, teachers, school staff and even some pets took part in this year’s event. The final tally, after the 18th edition of the Terry Fox Run, is now more than $1-million.
680News spoke to grade 8 student, Johnathon, who has been involved in the run since grade 1. “Terry Fox could run, every single day, for 26 miles. The least I could do it run for an hour,” said Johnathon.
Johnathon said even though he is graduating this year he will be back for the Terry Fox Run next year too.
