Man sought in two downtown stabbings

Police issued a warning Wednesday about a man believed to be involved in two separate stabbings in downtown Toronto.
The first incident took place on Thursday, December 22 at around 5:45 p.m. A woman was walking with a friend on King Street East, near Jarvis when a man stabbed her from behind in the lower back. She suffered non life-threatening injuries.
A few minutes later, a man was stabbed as he walked on Front Street East.
He was also stabbed in the lower back, but his injuries weren’t serious.
Police believe the same man is responsible for both stabbings. He is described as:
- brown, 25-30,
- medium build,
- 5’6”-5’9”, 140 lbs.-170 lbs.
- black hair with a beard,
- He was last seen wearing a black bomber jacket, black denim jeans and carrying a black backpack.
