Toronto basks in January sunshine

Toronto was revelling in unseasonably warm temperatures on Saturday as the city hit a high of 8C.
Some parts of the GTA, including Oakville, saw a high of 9C.
“I just couldn’t resist the good weather,” cyclist Nigel said. He was pedalling along the lakefront in a sweater and light jacket.
“You never know when your last ride is before winter.”
Last year, there were 8cm of snow on the ground by this time in January, and we saw a high of -4C.
As for Sunday, we’ll see more seasonal highs of -2C, and there’s the possibility of flurries on Monday morning.
