2 arrested after west-end stabbing

Police have arrested two men after a stabbing in Toronto’s west end early Saturday morning.

Sometime before 6:30 a.m., a cab driver called police from Keele Street and Eglinton Avenue West after he noticed the customer he picked up was bleeding.

Paramedics took the victim to Sunnybrook hospital with stab wounds to the torso and arm. He is in serious condition, but will likely survive.

Officers found a knife at the scene and arrested the suspects nearby.

About three hours earlier, a man was slashed in the face on Queen Street West, near John. He was treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Police have not released any information about suspects in that case.
