CALGARY — The family of the Canadian skier who died at a World Cup skicross event says racing was Nik Zoricic’s life.
Zoricic’s father, Predrag Bebe Zoricic, says in a statement that there are no regrets from anyone because his son did what he loved to do.
Nik Zoricic died from fatal injuries he suffered Saturday at an event in Grindelwald, Switzerland.
He went wide over the final jump and crashed hard into safety nets lining the side of the course.
His father says the family is grateful for the many phone calls and messages that have come in from friends and supporters.
The family says funeral details have not yet been confirmed.
