Citytv sweeps Toronto Sun readers’ choice awards

Toronto Sun readers have once again picked Citytv as their favourite in a slew of categories, including television station and GTA and sports personalities.
For the 19th consecutive year, readers voted Citytv their favourite station ahead of competitors CTV Toronto, CP24, Global Toronto and CBC Toronto. And Citytv personalities Dina Pugliese, Kevin Frankish, Frank Ferragine and Kathryn Humphreys won gold and silver in the media and community group.
“You warm my heart and make ungodly 4 a.m. wake-up calls not only worth it, but joyful,” said Pugliese, who won top honours in the Sexiest Woman and Top GTA Personality categories. “Thank you Toronto Sun readers.”
Frankish, Pugliese’s Breakfast Television co-host, took the titles for Sexiest Man and favourite TV Personailty (Local).
“Channing, Brad and me?? Just be thankful there wasn’t a bathing suit competition!” he said. “I am so grateful to the Toronto Sun readers for their votes of confidence. I promise to become even sexier next year.”
In sports, Humphreys was named Toronto’s favourite sportscaster.
And readers picked the Toronto Blue Jays as their favourite pro sports team and slugger Jose Bautista, their favourite player.
The results were published in the Sun on Thursday.
