Police arrest fraudster targeting city’s Jewish community

TORONTO, Ont. – Police have arrested a fraudster who is targeting Toronto’s Jewish population.
Investigators say Israel Aharonovitz, 63, befriended Jewish women on the subway, telling them he was visiting from Israel and in need of money.
Once he gained the trust of his victims, they would provide him with cash.
Aharonovitz – who is from Israel – is charged with four counts of Fraud Under $5,000
Police believe there are more victims who have yet to come forward.
