Man injured after jumping from Etobicoke bridge

A 22-year-old man was rushed to hospital with a major head injury after he dove off a bridge in Etobicoke.

Police say the man and a group of friends were diving off the Humber Bay Arch Bridge into the water just west of South Kingsway near Palace Pier Court.

It’s believed the man dove and landed on the rocks below.

Police are calling it an injury by misadventure.

There was no immediate word on charges.
