Car crash causes power outage near Kingston and Morningside

A car crash caused a brief power outage near Kingston Road and Morningside Avenue on Friday morning.

The driver crashed near Old Kingston Road around 3 a.m., Toronto police said.

The single-vehicle crash knocked over a hydro pole, causing a power outage. Click here for an update on the outage.

Firefighters had to cut the car to free the driver. He was then taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

Weather does not appear to be a factor, police told CityNews.
