Hudson’s Bay website experienced technical difficulties on Black Friday, one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
A CityNews viewer alerted us to the problem saying The Bay’s website had been down “all day” and the retailer’s customer service line was unable to take any purchase orders.
In a statement to CityNews, a Hudson’s Bay spokesperson said the website was experiencing a “very high volume.” Connectivity appeared to be restored at approximately 2 p.m.
The spokesperson did not indicate whether Black Friday promotions will be extended.
The Hudson’s Bay flyer promotes Black Friday sales and is offering free shipping for any orders made online.
