Judge continues instructions to jury in Babcock murder trial
A Toronto judge is continuing his instructions to the jury Friday at the trial of two men accused of killing a young woman whose body hasn’t been found.
Dellen Millard and Mark Smich have pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the supposed death of 23-year-old Laura Babcock in 2012.

The judge told the jury Thursday that the case hinges upon a “large and complex” body of circumstantial evidence.
Justice Michael Code told jurors the circumstantial evidence focuses on two main issues — whether Babcock is dead and whether Millard and Smich caused her death from an unlawful act.
Code says his 300-page instruction will last multiple days before the jury can begin deliberating.
