Man killed in Yorkville shooting

A 37-year-old Toronto man is dead after he was shot in Yorkville on Monday night.

Witnesses told police they heard at least three shots ring out in the Bay Street and Yorkville Avenue area around 11:30 p.m. on Monday.

When emergency crews arrived on scene they found the man without vital signs, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have identified the victim as Matthew Staikos.

Investigators are looking for a male suspect who fled the area in a silver or grey four-door Mercedes.
