Male injured in Keele and Eglinton shooting

One person is in hospital after a shooting in the city’s northwest end.
Emergency crews were called to the Eglinton Avenue West and Keele Street area around 2 a.m. on Wednesday.
Reports from the scene indicate the shooting may have happened in a laneway south of Eglinton.
Police said officers were on their regular patrol when they found the victim laying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim, a male, was taken to a local hospital.
Police said the victim is not cooperating with the investigation.
A suspect description has not been released.
Keele Street was closed in both directions from Eglinton to Holwood Avenue while police conducted their investigation. The area has since reopened to traffic.
