Half of top Canadian online searches are porn-related: Yahoo! Canada

Thanks to the internet, there’s never been a time when Canadians have had more access to information.
You can learn about ancient cultures, delve into treasure troves of art and literature, and stay abreast of news from around the world.
Or, you can ditch the high-brow aspirations and skip straight to surfing porn.
According to Yahoo! Canada, that’s what most of us appear to be doing.
The search engine released its list of top searches among Canadians for 2018, and six of 12 items were porn-related.
In fact, the number one search was Pornhub. Number two? Porn.
“It looks like Canadians are spending a lot of time, um, by themselves,” Yahoo! Canada said in a release. “While the midsection is a little less X-rated, this roundup shows an interesting trend here in Canada.”
Non-porn related items that appeared in the top 12 include CNN, Kijiji, and Amazon.ca. Check out the full list below, as well as the top searches in some other specific categories.
