Snake River in Teton Park to be featured on postage stamp

By The Associated Press

JACKSON, Wyo. — A photo of the Snake River and the Grand Teton mountains in northwest Wyoming will appear on a postage stamp in 2019.

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reported Wednesday the image by Oregon photographer and author Tim Palmer will be used in a series of 12 stamps honouring the National Wild and Scenic River system.

Palmer took the photo last year in Grand Teton National Park.

Three other photos by Palmer will be included in the stamp series: the Flathead in Montana, the Skagit in Washington and the Ontonagon in Michigan.
