A third suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death of a Mississauga man has turned himself in to Montreal police.
Peel police were called to a plaza at Dundas Street East and Cawthra Road around 11:20 a.m. last Monday after reports of shots fired.
The victim, identified as 32-year-old Michael Deabaitua-Schulde, had ran into the nearby Huf Boxing Gym for help after he was shot several times in the parking lot. He died later in hospital.
Police say Deabaitua-Schulde was a “well entrenched” member of the Niagara chapter of the Hells Angels.
A Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder was issued for Joseph Pallotta, 38, of Montreal on Wednesday. He was arrested on Sunday.
Markens Vilme, 28, of Montreal has also been charged with first-degree murder while a third suspect was charged with accessory after the fact.
The three suspects are not believed to be members of a motorcycle gang, but do allegedly have connections to organized crime.
Police called the shooting a “targeted attack,” and said a blue, burned out Honda Civic found around the corner from the gym on Rymal Road was reportedly the getaway vehicle. They said the suspects set it on fire to dispose of any evidence.
