Man arrested after alleged sex assaults on girl, 4, at Whitby daycare

Durham regional police have arrested a 39-year-old man after a child was allegedly sexually assaulted over a period of months at a home daycare in Whitby.
Police allege the sexual assaults took place between February 2018 and June 2018 at a daycare centre on Catkins Crescent where the accused lived.
The alleged victim, a girl, was four years old at the time.
Christopher Benson, of Whitby, has been charged with indecent exposure, invitation to sexual touching, sexual assault and making sexually explicit material available – under 14.
He’s been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
