Old Dominion’s hard work takes them to the top

Old Dominion is the hardest working group in country music and have no plans on slowing down.

They’re in the middle of a sold-out cross-Canada tour before heading to Europe for more sold-out shows and then returning to North America to tour with Kenny Chesney.

Yes, they’re busy but loving every minute of it.

“Every show has been sold out and they keep trying to open more seats to get more people in,” lead vocalist Matt Ramsey said before their Toronto show. “It’s been really great.”

“We don’t have a lot of days off but we actually got a day off in Banff.” vocalist and guitarist Brad Tursi said. “It was pretty amazing.”

For over a decade before they got their break as a band, they wrote hit song after hit song for some of the most beloved country artists included, but not limited to Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley and Keith Urban.

With the grueling tour schedule and mainstream success it hasn’t taken away their first love of song writing.

“We just wrote a new song today!” Tursi said. “We just wrote it!”

“Yeah, we actually just wrote it in the dressing room.” Ramsey added.” We have a lot of songs on our back burner, the list keeps growing and growing.”

They’re currently the reigning champs of the Academy of Country Music Awards and were named Country Music Awards Vocal Group of the Year.

They just released their new single ‘Some People Do’ off of their chart topping self titled album.
