NOVA LIMA, Brazil (AP) _ Afya Ltd. (AFYA) on Thursday reported earnings of $22.5 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Nova Lima, Brazil-based company said it had net income of 25 cents. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and stock option expense, were 30 cents per share.
The medical education company posted revenue of $61.5 million in the period.
Afya shares have declined 30% since the beginning of the year.
