Man recovering after being struck by vehicle early Monday morning

A man in his 50’s is recovering after being struck by a delivery truck on Monday morning.
It happened on Lawrence Avenue, east of Warden Avenue around 6:20 a.m, when he was walking in the marked crossing.
Police say the man has serious injuries, but will live, and is “very lucky” because the incident was an inch away from being fatal.
Lawrence has been closed from Crockford to Warden for the investigation.
