Toronto teams up with Vaccine Hunters Canada for COVID-19 vaccine appointments

The City of Toronto says it is teaming up with Vaccine Hunters Canada to help residents find vaccination appointments at City-run clinics.

Vaccine Hunters Canada is a group of volunteers who have come together to make sure no vaccine goes to waste, posting available shots on social media for cities across the country.

At the end of each day, City officials say it will provide the group with clinic appointment availability for the next day for its nine Toronto-run clinics.

The City says collaborating with Vaccine Hunters is just one more way to help residents in securing an appointment for as early as the next day.

“This is a huge, all hands-on deck effort and Vaccine Hunters Canada have stepped up to help people get vaccinated and navigate the different registration systems,” Mayor John Tory said in a release.

“This is all part of our commitment to getting the word out and making sure we reach every resident, in every area of our city,” Toronto Board of Health chair Counc. Joe Cressy said.

A reminder that you do need an appointment for a city-run vaccine clinic, which can be made through the provincial booking system.

Current eligibility at City-run clinics is as follows:
