GO train service has resumed this morning between Port Credit and Clarkson on the Lakeshore West line after a lengthy delay that spanned several hours due to what the agency calls ‘track conditions.’
The ground beneath and beside the tracks between Port Credit and Clarkson stations was deemed unstable for trains to pass and required significant repairs.
Early Sunday, GO Transit’s Lakeshore Line said the track issue affecting service is now resolved.
“Trains have returned to their regular schedule. Click here for real-time delay information on your train,” they wrote.
Metrolinx spokesperson and media representative Anne Marie Aikins thanked transit riders for their tolerance throughout the suspension.
“Thank you, everyone, for your patience and understanding. Full service is back today on LSW,” she wrote on Twitter.
