Durham police investigating suspicious death of elderly woman

An investigation is underway at a residence in Oshawa following the suspicious death of a woman.
Police were called to an address on Philip Murray Avenue, in the southern part of the city, around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday a after a young child returned home to find their 67-year-old grandmother deceased.
Police say the death has been deemed suspicious but have not released any further details. A post mortem has been scheduled.
Investigators are asking for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
