2 Toronto men charged in east end murder

Toronto police have charged two Toronto men with first degree murder in the death of a man last May in the city’s east end.

Police said they were called to the Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue area on May 24, 2021, for a wellbeing check.

When they arrived they found a man with obvious signs of trauma.

He was later pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as Michael Nobel, 51, of Toronto.

On Wednesday, December 8, 2021, police arrested Zola Zenguele, 26, and John Mackenzie, 26, both of Toronto.

They face first degree murder charges and are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
